Austmann brewery in Trondheim have made a traditional English bitter using seaweed from Seaweed Energy Solutions' kelp farm in Frøya.
It is the first food product SES has taken part in.
"Grown in clean, Atlantic seawater without any added substance or fertilisation, it is an organic natural product and is in demand as food in Europe and Asia. In Norway we are not so used to eating algae yet (...) but think [the beer] is a product most Norwegians may like."
